Change startup color of store Apps in Windows 10

Everyone loves Store Apps because of the function they perform.But the problem is most of our

Users don't like the start screen color of the Apps. For example : If we open Edge it will open in Blue

color,similarly when we open the Settings Window it will open with blue color and so on.. So in this

tutorial let's see how to change the startup color on Windows 10.



Do you need any software??

No,it doesn't require any additional software,all you need to do is change one registry key.

How to do it??

Follow the steps below..

Backup the registry first

1) Press Windows + R Keys.

2) Type regedit

3) Hit enter.

4) Navigate to following Key..

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\LocalSettings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\SystemAppData

5) Double click on the folder you wish to change..

for example :

if you wish to change the color for Microsoft Edge,then click on

Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe

6) Expand it and select SplashScreen



7) Now,again double click on the

Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe, clicking on it will open some options in Right pane..

8) Now,on your right pane click on the BackgroundColor

9) It will open pop up,on that,there is value data

10) Type the color you wish to set it to..for example : Red,orange,green,etc..

If you wish to match the theme of your windows,set it to transparent which will automatically pick the color from your theme..
