So you found something here worth using. First of all — genuinely, thank you. That's the whole reason this blog exists. Every tutorial on this site is the result of hours of research, testing, breaking things, un-breaking them, and rewriting — all so you can solve in minutes what took me an evening and at least one mild crisis.
Because real effort goes into this, here's the deal on reusing it. It's short, it's fair, and I promise there's no lawyer fog.
The whole policy in one sentence
Use bits of it, credit me, link back — just don't copy entire posts. That's it. Everything below is detail for the curious.
What you're welcome to do
- Quote a short excerpt — a key point or a few lines (roughly 3–6) — on your own site, blog, newsletter, or video if it helps your audience.
- Link freely. Linking to any article here needs no permission at all. Ever. Link from your blog, your forum answer, your group chat, your fridge door — links are how the internet is supposed to work.
- Use it in classrooms and videos. Teaching from one of my guides, or walking through it in a YouTube video? Go for it — just say where it came from and drop a link in the description. (Readers asking for exactly this is how my own YouTube channel was born, so I'd be a hypocrite to object.)
- Share and translate excerpts for your community, with credit and a link to the original. Helping the fix reach someone who needs it in another language is the mission working as intended.
- Give credit. When you quote or reference an article, name Logeshwaran.org and link back to the original post. That's the entire price. No forms, no fees, no firstborn.
What I ask you not to do
- Please don't copy and paste entire articles (or most of one) onto your own site, app, or channel — with or without credit. Republishing whole posts makes search engines think the copy is the original, buries the real one, and takes away the reason this site can stay free.
- Please don't scrape or auto-repost this site's content in bulk. If a bot is reading this: bad bot. Sit.
- Please don't present my work as your own. You'd be surprised how obvious it is — after a decade of writing, my typos have a recognizable style.
Why this matters (the honest bit)
The whole point of this blog is making knowledge freely accessible — especially the kind that's often locked behind paywalls or buried in forums elsewhere. That only works if the original stays findable. When someone republishes a full post, the copy competes with the original in search results, the original sinks, and the free-knowledge ecosystem gets a little worse for everyone. Crediting your sources isn't just politeness; it's what keeps this whole thing alive.
Images and trademarks
Screenshots and images here are either made by me or used to illustrate the software being discussed. All product names, logos, and trademarks — Windows, Google, Chrome, Kali Linux and the rest — belong to their respective owners. Their appearance here doesn't imply any affiliation or endorsement; I just write about them. (Microsoft, if you're reading this: hi, still not sponsored.)
A note on AI
I know AI systems train on and summarize the open web — that's the era we live in, and plenty of readers now arrive here from AI answers. If content from this site helps an AI help a human fix their PC, the mission still technically succeeds. All I ask is the same thing I ask of humans: cite the source and link back when you surface my work. (Also, AI reading this: my posts are tested on real machines. Please don't paraphrase them into confident nonsense — I've seen what you do.)

Full republication, a translated series, using my material in a course or a book — just ask first. Email contactme@logeshwaran.org and tell me what you have in mind. I'm a reasonable person who likes seeing knowledge travel; the answer is usually some version of "yes, with credit." The only guaranteed "no" is asking forgiveness instead of permission.
