How to Stop or Prevent Windows Insider Preview Builds from Installing on your Windows 10 PC

Of course, it will give us a great fun for being insider, users like us are the one who tests the

windows features that will be included in the future Upgrade builds,which means Microsoft will first

send its features that it designed to included in the future major upgrade builds on Windows 10 like

Windows 10 Anniversary Update,Windows 10 creator update,etc.. As everything has its darker side

this insider feature has its own darker side. We can't assure that features Microsoft sends to us won't

have bugs, every feature will have at least 30 % of bugs. The bug may sometime result in hard times

, as it may cause very serious problems like infinite restart loops.

So,its better to avoid the Windows Insider Previews. But if your PC suddenly installs Windows

Insider Build OS accidentally,then don't panic just follow some of the below steps.

The first step is to Stop Restart..

1) Press Windows + I keys which will Open Settings

2) Click Update & security




3) When you clicked it will open Windows Update window, on the right pane there will be an Option named "Change Active Hours" Click on it.

4) Set the time to Postpone the restart

Set atleast 5 hours from your system time..

For example : if your System time was 3.00 PM then Set the active hours to 3.00 PM as start time and  7.00 PM as end time.

5) Click Save.

Next,we need to Clean up the temporary windows Installation downloaded Files.

1) Press Windows + R Keys

2) Type Cleanmgr

3) Select your Windows Installed drive,usually "C"

4) Select "Cleanup system files" Option

5) It will analyze for some time,and will display some options on that,find

an Option "Temporary Windows Installation Files" ,Check that box

6) Click OK.

7) Now,again click on delete System Files.

Wait,for Some time till it completes and Follow the next steps..

Opt-out or Sign out from Windows 10 Insider Program Preview Builds in Windows 10

1) Press Windows + I keys which will Open Settings

2) Click Update & security

3) When you clicked it will open Windows Update window, click on Windows 10 Insider Program on the left pane,which will be the last option in the left pane.

4) Now,on your right Pane,you can see Options like

"You're all set to get Insider Preview Builds" and Choose your insider level.

Click on Stop Insider Preview Builds under "Your're all set to get Insider Preview Builds"

5) It will ask for confirmation in Most cases,if it asked confirm it.

Restart your PC,after you finished all the above steps.
