Never worry!! When there are alternative options - How to get group policy editor on Windows 10,8.1,8 & 7 Home Editions [Tutorial]

Recently one of our blog reader who wished to be anonymous asked me why your tutorials are

mostly based/involved on working with group policy editor?? he also asked "What we guyz can do

when we are using home editions?? That question made me to write a dedicated tutorial which will

be helpful for you too..

Just follow the below steps...



If you have any difficulty in following below steps,then check the above video tutorial...

1)Visit this link and download..

2)Extract it...

3)Run Setup.exe

4)Install as Usual like you install other programs..

That's it...

In Case if you are using Windows 10 x64 bit version then you need a little additional work to be done...


5) Press Windows + R which will get you into run command.
6) Type %windir%\SysWOW64
7) Hit enter/OK.
8) Copy GroupPolicy,GroupPolicyUsers,gpedit.msc files.
9) Paste it into C:\Windows\System32

Note : C is the drive where windows is installed by default,if you had installed on a different drive say "f",then, Paste them into f:\windows\System32

That's it...

To run Gpedit:

Press Windows + R -> type gpedit.msc - > OK.
