How to make edge to ask where to save the downloading file on Windows 10 [Tutorial]

Microsoft Edge probably the default browser was considered to be the future browser by

Microsoft.Though it has some awesome features it lacks some great things like no addon

support,where to save the downloading file,etc..Which are available in other browsers.Though

Microsoft assured that such options will be added ASAP,People who use Edge as their Primary

browser still need to wait for such options,So we decided to find an solution and succeeded in

creating a option that will displays "save as" field while initializing a download.We tested in two

systems running windows 10 and it worked..So herewith i'm gonna share the steps i did to get back

such option.

Steps :

Press Windows  + R - > Type Regedit - > Ok -> Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge

Check whether "Download" is available under that MicrosoftEdge,if it was available then skip next step..

If no such field is available :

Right click near Zoom and select New - > Key ..name it as Download.

On the Right pane

Right click select new - > Dword -> Name it as EnableSavePrompt - > Click and set its value to 1.

Now again initialize the download again,you can see save as option available...

Hope it is helpful..
