Storage sense in Windows 10 - Turn on or turn off storage sense in Windows 10 Creators update [How to guide]

Windows 10 creators update have an redesigned option that will make it automatically clear 

unwanted cookies, caches, temporary files,etc... This option was named as storage sense. 

This storage sense will automatically sense for un necessary files and will clear them when 

our PC reaches some critical storage space.

Since, it is such an awesome features for low disk space users, there are some restrictions 

for them. They need to turn on storage sense technology manually in some editions.

So, here in this post let's see how to turn on or turn off storage sense in Windows 10.

Note : Following instructions will Works only on Windows 10 Creators update build 

Operating System as some options are changed in this build.

1) Open settings.

2) Click on System.

3) When you clicked, it will open some options like Display, Notifications & Actions,etc on 

your left pane...

4) find and click an option called Storage on the left pane.

5) When you clicked, you can see your PC drives on the right pane, scroll down till you find Storage sense option.

6) Under the storage sense, there will be text like 

Windows can automatically free up space by getting rid of files you don't need like 

temporary files and content in your recycle bin.

Under the above text, there will be an option to toggle between on or off.

7) Simply slide/ tap on the right side of the option, so that it looks ON.

8) Close the window.

However, if you like to

Disable Storage sense in Windows 10


9) Simply slide/ tap on the left side of the option, so that it looks OFF.

10) Close the window.
